Nest is ready!

The Eastern Bluebirds have been very busy building their nest in the nestcam box.  The nest in essentially complete.  We’re looking forward to seeing some blue eggs appear within a few days.

Bluebirds building nest in nestcam box

We’re delighted to have new neighbors in our backyard.  An Eastern Bluebird couple selected the nestcam box as their nesting site and have started building their nest.

Teamwork!

There is a complicating factor.  A Tufted Titmouse is very unhappy with the Bluebirds for building in the box and stops by several times a day to express its disgust.  We’re hoping that things don’t escalate into a physical confrontation.
